MASCOM Entrance Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
  2. Candidates in their final year of graduation exams but are awaiting results are also eligible for MASCOM Entrance Exam 2018.

MASCOM Entrance Exam 2018 Application Process

  1. Fill up MASCOM Entrance Exam Application Form offline by requesting it for it by sending a demand draft (DD) in favour of MASCOM, payable at Kottayam, Kerala. Candidates can also download the MASCOM entrance exam 2018 application form from the official website of the college.
  2. Fill MASCOM Entrance Exam Application Form in offline mode with all required details such as name, gender, age, date of birth, religion, nationality, guardian’s name, guardian’s employment, etc.
  3. Fill in the education details such as name of institution, qualification, division obtained, year of passing, etc of Class 10th, Class 12th, and graduation.
  4. If a candidate is employed, then he/she should fill the employment details such as name of organisation, designation, year of joining, etc.
  5. Language proficiency details should be mentioned including level of proficiency in English, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
  6. Extracurricular activities (if any) that candidates have been involved in.
  7. Proficiency in computer operation, internet operation, photography, movie-making, sketching/ painting, theatre/ dramatics, extempore oratory, software knowledge, etc.
  8. Photograph and signature.

  10. The payment of the MASCOM Entrance Exam Application Fee can be made in offline mode via demand draft drawn in favour of MASCOM and payable at Kottayam, Kerala.

MASCOM Entrance Exam 2018 Pattern

  1. The MASCOM Entrance exam consist of a written test and personal interview round.
  2. Medium of instruction: English (However, limited seats are also available for admission to candidates who wish to pursue their career in Malayalam journalism)
  3. Questions paper will consist of topics from English, General Knowledge, and Journalism.
  4. After qualifying the written test, the candidates are required to appear for the interview round. Candidates clearing the interview round can secure a seat at Manorama School of Communication in the journalism courses offered by it.
  5. The final result will be announced at the end of the interview round.
  6. The exam pattern is different for Print Journalism and Broadcast Journalism courses as mentioned below:
For PG Diploma in Print Journalism Course
The test is conducted in two sessions. The first session test the language ability and journalistic skills of candidates whereas the second session tests the general knowledge of candidates, informs a college official.

For PG Diploma in Broadcast Journalism Course
The question paper for Broadcast Journalism course contains two sections of total 100 marks. First section tests the language ability of candidates, and the second section tests the journalistic skills.
