Kerala SLET (Kerala SET) is a state level entrance test conducted by the Department of Education, Kerala to provide lectureship or Junior Research Fellowship to the eligible candidates who wish to become an assistant professor or Lecturer in various colleges, universities and other educational institutes within the state of Kerala.

Kerala SET Eligibility Criteria

Following given subject wise eligibility criteria to apply for Kerala SET
    Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry: Have an M.Sc B.Ed degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any Regional Instituted of Education that is sponsored by NCERT.
      Botany and Zoology: Have an MSc B.Ed degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any Regional Instituted of Education that is sponsored by NCERT.or have MSc B.Ed degree in Life Science with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any Regional Institutes of Education.
        Anthropology, French, Commerce, Gandhian Studies, German, Geology, Home Science, Latin, Journalism, Music, Psychology, Philosophy, Russian, Sociology, Social Work, Statistics: Possess B.Ed degree
          English: Possess II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with at least 50% marks as well as a B.Ed degree.
            Hindi: Candidates who have acquired B.Ed Degree in Hindi conducted by the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempted from the requirement of producing the equivalency certificate, as the degree has been recognized by the Universities in Kerala.
              Latin: Cleared their degree exam in any discipline (from any University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent) with Latin as their second language under Paper II wherein they have secured at least 50% marks. These eligibility criteria hold true only if the candidate has secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for that Part II.

              Kerala SET Exam Pattern

              The Kerala SET exam will be divided into 2 papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will be similar for all the candidates, whereas Paper II will be taken place in 31 different subjects. Paper I comprises two subjects: General Knowlede and Aptitude in Teaching. There will be a total of 120 questions and each question will be valued for 1 mark. To complete this paper, the aspirants will get a time of 2 hours. Paper II will be conducted in 31 different languages. The aspirants need to choose their preferable language during the time of filling Kerala SET application form. They also select the subject of specialisation at the Post of Post Graduation level during the registration process.

              Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod

              Kerala SET Application Process

              To complete the registration process, the candidates have to follow the below mentioned steps:

              Steps 1: Kerala SET Registration Process
              • Open the official website that is http://lbsedp.lbscentre.in/
              • Click on the online registration link and then click on the new registration link.
              • Now the aspirants have to provide the mobile number.
              • In the next step, the aspirants require to verify the mobile number.
              • Once you complete the verification, the candidates have to enter the OTP in the mentioned space. 
              Step 2: Fill the Kerala SET Application Form

              After verifying the mobile number, the aspirants have to fill the application form. To fill the application form, the candidates require to provide the following details, which are mentioned in the following:
              • Name and gender of the candidates.
              • Date of birth.
              • Category of the aspirants.
              • Educational qualification.
              • Preferable exam centre. 
              • Once the above mentioned details will be filled, the aspirants require to verify the entered details and then submit the form. After submitting the form, the candidates will not be allowed to make any change in the Kerala SET application form. A registration ID along with the site access key will be generated after the successful submission of the Kerala SET application form.
              Step 3: Pay Kerala SET Application Fees

              In the third step, the aspirants require to pay the application fees via online mode.
